## Rogue Subclass – Exclusive to Solare: [[Hexa Landing]]
The Nightfang is a unique rogue subclass originating in the Solare setting, specifically from the vampiric capital of [[Hexa Landing]] in [[North Angoria|North Angoria]]. Unlike traditional rogues who rely solely on stealth and precision, Nightfangs are specialized vampiric hunters trained in ambush, battlefield manipulation, and supernatural reactions. They utilize a custom resource called Predator Dice to influence stealth checks, contested actions, and reactive defense, making them the masters of strike-and-vanish tactics. This subclass introduces Solare's unique "Test" mechanics — involving contested rolls between characters — which allows Nightfangs to tactically outmaneuver even the most powerful foes. They are apex skirmishers, constantly adapting to control the flow of combat from the shadows.
#### Predator Dice
You gain a number of Predator Dice (d6s) equal to your Dexterity modifier (minimum of 1). You regain all expended dice after a long rest.
You can expend one Predator Die to:
• Add it to a Dexterity (Stealth) check or contested roll.
• Increase your AC as a reaction when attacked.
• Add to your damage roll when striking from hidden.
#### Ambush Predator
When attacking a creature that has not acted in combat or while hidden, you may initiate a Contested Ambush Test:
Roll Dexterity (Stealth) + Predator Die vs. the target’s Wisdom (Perception).
• Success: Deal maximum Sneak Attack damage and stun the target until the end of your next turn.
• Failure: Sneak Attack deals minimum damage this round.
#### Blood Interruption
As a reaction, when a creature within 30 feet casts a spell, you may teleport to an adjacent space and force a Disruption Test:
Roll Dexterity (Acrobatics) + Predator Die vs. the caster’s Spellcasting Ability Check.
• Success: The spell fails and fizzles.
• Failure: You take half damage and impose disadvantage on the spell.
Usable a number of times equal to your Dexterity modifier per long rest.
#### Crimson Reflex
When a creature makes an attack against you, you may expend a Predator Die to:
• Add the roll to your AC.
If the attack misses, you may make a Parry Test:
• Your attack roll vs. their attack roll.
• Success: Deal weapon damage + Sneak Attack.
• Failure: No effect.
#### Apex Predator
Once per turn, when you make a Contested Roll (Stealth, Acrobatics, or attack), you may roll two d20s and take the higher.
If you win by 10 or more, the enemy is disoriented until the end of its next turn:
• It cannot take reactions.
• It has disadvantage on the first attack roll or saving throw it makes before then.
You regain all Predator Dice after a short or long rest.
