**Overview**
The **Dragon Warrior** is a martial subclass for Fighters in the world of Solare, forged in divine fire and shaped by draconic power. Known as the **Dragon Knights** by the common folk of Polaria, these elite warriors blend martial prowess with limited arcane magic and the blessings of dragons. Originally created during the Second Dragon War, the Dragon Warriors were chosen by the goddess **[[Perserphina]]** to combat the tyranny of evil dragons and restore balance to the realm. Their legacy endures as stalwart protectors of Solare.
Only those of **lawful or good alignment** may attempt the trials to become a Dragon Warrior.

**Subclass Features**
**3rd Level: Dragon Shift & Spellcasting**
- **Dragon Shift.** You gain the ability to Wild Shape similarly to a druid. You can use this feature twice per long rest. The beast form must have a CR of 1/4 or lower and no flying or swimming speed. Use Fighter level to determine duration and CR limits.
- **Spellcasting.** You learn two 1st-level wizard spells of your choice (cast once per long rest), plus _Detect Magic_ at will.
- **Spellcasting Ability:** Intelligence
- Spell save DC = 8 + proficiency bonus + Intelligence modifier
- Spell attack modifier = proficiency bonus + Intelligence modifier
**7th Level: Fire Magic, Dragon Armor & Dragon Immunity**
- **Fire Magic.** Cast _Fireball_ and _Darkvision_ once per long rest each (Intelligence-based).
- **Dragon Armor.** While wearing armor, your AC becomes 19 unless higher. You also gain resistance to damage from spells.
- **Dragon Immunity.** You become immune to disease, your body suffused with divine vitality.
**10th Level: Radiant Weapon Empowerment & Greataxe of the Dragon Gift**
- **Radiant Weapon Empowerment.** As a bonus action, empower a weapon with radiant energy for 1 minute:
- Sheds 30 ft bright / 30 ft dim light
- +2d8 radiant damage on hit
- +1d8 vs fiends and undead
- Once per use, force a Con save (DC = 8 + proficiency + Intelligence) or blind enemies within 10 feet until the start of your next turn. Usable once per long rest.
- **Greataxe of the Dragon Gift.** You gain a powerful magical greataxe:
- +2 to attack and damage rolls
- Critical hits on 19–20
- A number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest, you can empower a successful hit with the greataxe to force the target to make a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + Intelligence modifier) or be incapacitated until the end of its next turn. You can only use this effect once per turn.
- Extra attack if your first attack hits (once per turn)
**15th Level: Dragon Gift — Greataxe Mastery**
- Greataxe bonus increases to +3
- Critical hits automatically knock targets prone
- A number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest, you can use the incapacitation effect on any successful hit without requiring a Constitution saving throw. This effect can still only trigger once per turn.
**18th Level: Dragon Strike**
- Advantage on your first melee weapon attack each turn
- All weapon attacks count as magical
- Gain +2 to all weapon damage rolls
