## Description
Duskwalkers are a feral subspecies of vampire native to the haunted undercity and wilderness edges of [[Hexa Landing]]. Born of uncontrolled transformations, exile, or rebellion against the [[Ebonclaw Conclave]], they are fast, predatory, and deeply connected to the night. While other vampires claim regal titles and feast on politics, Duskwalkers survive by instinct, grit, and raw power.
They prowl the ruins and tunnels beyond the Black Castle’s glow, guided by heightened senses and a supernatural leap that allows them to vanish into rooftops or strike from above. Their resilience in battle is legendary—they’ve been known to fight through mortal wounds and vanish into the shadows before their blood hits the stone.
Though shunned by nobler vampires, Duskwalkers have become symbols of freedom and fear, rallying behind figures like [[Isolde]] to challenge the city’s balance of power.
### Roleplaying a Duskwalker
Duskwalkers are creatures of instinct, nocturnal cunning, and independence. They often linger near chaotic or neutral alignments, valuing **freedom, strength, and personal codes** over laws or traditions. Some lean toward protecting the downtrodden in the shadows; others descend into cold predation.
They rarely seek courtly favor or prestige. Instead, they form tight packs or live in isolation—surviving through stealth, ambush, or brute resolve. They distrust authority, especially the [[Ebonclaw Conclave]] or Queen [[Callidora]]’s regime, though some grudgingly acknowledge her strength.
In gameplay, they shine as scouts, assassins, wild rangers, or even reluctant heroes shaped by hardship. At night, their supernatural edge grows sharper—granting them a dominant presence when others are blind or fearful.
Choose a Duskwalker if you want to:
- Embrace the gothic underworld and nocturnal freedom.
- Play a survivor who relies on instincts and mobility.
- Stand apart from vampire nobility as an underdog with bite.
