_Current as of Session 53_ --- ## 1. Ashkavar's Cut **Factions Involved:** Krynvia / Talismatic Nine (Meka Dug) **Urgency:** High — portal is actively funneling devil armies into Polaria A former wayshrine to Elandra, goddess of peace and magic, located in the Polarian Mountains. Seized by Anam's forces three months ago. A corrupted portal and teleportation circle there is being used to funnel devil armies back into Polaria through hidden tunnels. The site is guarded by a platoon of soldiers alongside bone devil commanders, led by a devil named Vthrek. Citizens of Polaria fled through those tunnels during the fall, heading for the silver city of Noalia. Meka Dug has noted there are warded chambers deeper in the tunnels that the devils have not yet breached — and that something in those depths is being actively searched for. **Krynvia's Offer:** In exchange for destroying the portal — items the party needs, a device that will reverse the teleportation circle's corruption, the correct sigils to realign it, and teleportation scrolls. Once the temple is clear, she will coordinate with the city guilds and the Queen to have it guarded permanently. **Warning:** Once that portal falls, Anam will know who is responsible. The party will have the full attention of the Withered One. **Meka Dug's Quest:** Before heading to Ashkavar's Cut, the party must return to Meka Dug to collect her artifact compass — it was never picked up before the group left for the hells. The compass passively attunes to the group's collective moral character over the course of the mission. Return it and she will open the full resources of the Talismatic Nine — including keys and tools to more effectively dismantle corrupted portals and nodes, and the full depth of her intelligence on Anam's network. **Note:** Meka has flagged that somewhere in the broader coalition fighting Anam — Wizards Conclave, Polarian throne, Orcish Union, or Elven Union — there is a traitor or informant. Every time forces mobilize to counter a node, something goes wrong. She will not share her full intelligence until the compass vets the party's character. --- ## 2. The Prismatic Forest **Factions Involved:** Talismatic Nine / Zotia **Urgency:** Critical — the Chorus clock is running The first corrupted ley line node is somewhere within the Prismatic Forest. To stop the Chorus — the point at which all corrupted nodes resonate together and the cascade becomes irreversible — the nodes must be cleansed in the order they were corrupted, starting here. Once the first is found and cleansed, its signature acts as a map leading to the next. **The Chorus Timeline:** Five months away from becoming irreversible, possibly less. At that threshold, no single node can be destroyed to stop it — the corruption cascades through every ley line in Solare, magic is subdued, the Eldertree's roots begin to die, and all plant life follows. **Method:** Brute force will not work. Cleansing a node requires divine power — someone deeply connected to the land, capable of unmaking what Anam has corrupted. This points directly to Cub. **Note:** Cub's communion with Zotia was postponed when the group chose to go to the hells. That consultation is still outstanding and should happen before this mission. Zotia acknowledged Cub at the portal threshold and told him to return to her. --- ## 3. The Eldertree **Factions Involved:** Zotia / Cub's personal arc **Urgency:** Moderate — longer journey, but Anam is not finished with it Located in North Angoria — a significantly longer journey than the other active missions. The Eldertree is already a target. Anam sent a Behemoth after it — a creature of apocalyptic power, capable of reducing a god to mortal flesh. Four of the Seven Brides of Dracon intervened alongside barbarian tribes, free kingdom forces, and cloud giants to contain it. The Behemoth was not destroyed, merely sent back into slumber. The Eldertree survived. Anam is not done. He intends to corrupt the Eldertree using a specific signature that would prevent it from fighting back. What that signature is remains unknown. This mission is tied directly to Cub's recovered memories and his connection to Zotia. It is a longer road than Ashkavar's Cut or the Prismatic Forest and would take the party out of the Polaria region entirely. --- ## 4. Urgan Mossback **Factions Involved:** Grumthar's personal arc **Urgency:** Low — thread is cold but not dead Urgan Mossback is the last known survivor of the Crimson Bastion's warband — the only living person who fought alongside Grumthar's grandfather Ragivuh Ironfurrow. He is a former scoutmaster who has spent years in the Rotten Swamps feigning madness to keep pursuers away. Behind the act is a calculating survivor with a sharp mind who remembers everything from the Old Wars. Davax the chronicler previously located Urgan's position in the Rotten Swamps, but on his most recent mission his hidden location was attacked and his current whereabouts are unknown. **How to Resume:** Grumthar carries a red-and-black marble pebble given to him by Davax. Hold it out, speak Davax's name, and Davax will come. He can be tasked with relocating Urgan. **What Urgan Knows:** - How Ragivuh fought, led, and what he believed - The meaning of the runes etched into Grumthar's inherited weapons - Why Ragivuh's weapons carry gems on their pommels - Fragments of the Old Wars that no one else remembers --- ## 5. Darius Kain and Ewan **Factions Involved:** Polarian criminal underworld / Krynvia **Urgency:** Personal — Ewan has been held for weeks Ewan is a sixteen-year-old girl who has been held in Krynvia's cells beneath the Naked Maidens. She is the daughter of Darius Kain, a Polarian crime lord. She has been held for at least six days as of Session 49 and insists she knows nothing — she only overheard her father's dealings. Cub's Insight confirmed she was telling the truth. She begged the party on two separate occasions to find her father and tell him where she is. The party has Darius Kain's name but has taken no action on this thread. Ewan remains in Krynvia's cells. --- ## Pending — Before Any Mission **Cub's Communion with Zotia** Cub was meant to commune with Zotia before the group went to the hells. That was postponed and has not happened. Zotia acknowledged him at the portal threshold and told him to return. Given that the Prismatic Forest mission requires divine power and Zotia is Cub's direct divine connection, this consultation should happen before the party commits to the node mission. It may also yield guidance on which mission to prioritize. **Meka Dug's Compass** The artifact compass was never collected. If the party intends to run Ashkavar's Cut, they need to return to Meka Dug's shop in the Wizards' Quarter first.
