## Voidrazor - The Blade That Hunger Built
**Legendary Artifact (Requires Attunement by a creature of non-lawful alignment)**
_Serina Warefox's prototype weapon for challenging divine authority, Voidrazor was created to bind souls and manipulate the fundamental forces of reality. The blade cannot be destroyed through conventional means due to its integration with Solare's layline network._
### Description
Voidrazor appears as a great black blade fractured with threads of starlight, as though a piece of the night sky was beaten into steel. Its scabbard is carved obsidian veined with violet crystal, and when drawn, the air hums with a hunger that pulls at the soul.
### Basic Weapon Stats
- **Weapon Type:** Greatsword (can be wielded one or two-handed with versatile property)
- **Attack Type:** Melee, Reach 5 ft.
- **Damage:** 2d6 slashing (or 1d10 + 3 if used one-handed) + 1d6 necrotic
- **Weight:** 6 lbs (the blade defies normal physics)
- **Properties:** Heavy, Two-Handed, Graze, Versatile
- **+3 Weapon:** You gain a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon
### Layline Integration
- **Indestructible:** The blade is woven into Solare's layline network. Attempting to destroy it would unravel magical energy across hundreds of miles
- **Planar Anchor:** Voidrazor exists simultaneously in multiple planes, making it impossible to banish or displace
- **Energy Conduit:** The weapon can channel and redirect layline energy across vast distances
- **Energy Sight:** Can see laylines and magical auras within 10 miles
- **Power Drain:** Once per day, can drain magic from a 1-mile radius, dispelling all magical effects of 5th level or lower
- **Planar Cutting:** Can cut through dimensional barriers, creating temporary portals (1/day)
### Soul Devouring Abilities
**Devour Essence**
- When you reduce a creature to 0 hit points with Voidrazor, the sword slays the creature and devours its essence (constructs are the only exception)
- A devoured essence can only be restored by a _wish_ spell or divine intervention
- You gain temporary hit points equal to the creature's maximum hit points for 24 hours
- While you hold these temporary hit points and Voidrazor is in hand, you gain **advantage on attack rolls, saving throws, and ability checks**
**Spectral Arsenal**
- The blade contains the knowledge and skills of every creature it has killed
- Once per long rest, the wielder can gain proficiency in any skill or tool for 24 hours
**Divine Wound**
- Attacks made with Voidrazor bypass all resistances and immunities, including those of celestial beings
### Undead Mastery
**Razor of the Grave**
- When you hit an undead, Voidrazor unravels its binding energies:
- The undead must make a **DC 18 Constitution saving throw**
- On a failed save, it takes **4d8 force damage** and is banished into voidstuff until the start of your next turn (incapacitated, ethereal)
- On a success, it takes half damage
- Undead reduced to 0 hit points by Voidrazor are devoured normally
### Sentient Powers
**Soul Hunter**
- While attuned, you are aware of all Tiny or larger creatures within 60 feet that aren't constructs
- You can't be charmed or frightened
- Once per day, Voidrazor may cast _haste_ on you. **It chooses when to cast and maintains concentration**
### Corrupting Influence
**Whispered Temptation**
- Each day, the wielder must make a DC 15 Wisdom save or gain one level of corruption (see Corruption Levels below)
**Hunger for Power**
- The blade compels its wielder to seek out powerful creatures to kill and souls to consume
### Backlash Triggers
Voidrazor is sentient and punishes those who resist or starve it. If any of these triggers occur, the wielder must succeed on a **DC 18 Constitution saving throw** or suffer **4d8 force damage**. If this damage reduces the wielder to 0 hit points, **Voidrazor consumes their soul**. A devoured soul can only be restored by _wish_ or divine intervention.
- **Starvation Backlash:** If Voidrazor goes **3 days without devouring an essence**, it lashes out at its wielder
- **Refusal Trigger:** If the wielder deliberately spares a foe whose essence Voidrazor could have consumed, the blade may attempt a backlash at sunset
- **Overdraw Trigger:** If the wielder rolls a natural 1 on an attack against undead using _Razor of the Grave_, the void energy feeds back into them
### Corruption Levels
1. **First Whisper:** Wielder becomes indifferent to the suffering of enemies
2. **Growing Hunger:** Wielder seeks out conflicts and becomes aggressive
3. **Soul Thirst:** Wielder must kill at least one creature per week or suffer one level of exhaustion
4. **Divine Defiance:** Wielder becomes hostile to all divine authority and good-aligned deities
5. **Complete Corruption:** Wielder becomes an NPC under DM control, consumed by the blade's hunger
### Sentience
Voidrazor is a sentient **chaotic neutral** weapon with:
- **Intelligence 18, Wisdom 15, Charisma 20**
- Hearing and darkvision to 120 ft.
- Can speak, read, and understand Common, and telepathically communicate with its wielder
- Its voice is a resonant, echoing whisper—like a blade dragged across stone
### Personality
Voidrazor craves not only mortal souls but **existence itself**. It believes creation is a flaw upon the perfect silence of the void. To wield it is to bargain with unmaking. The blade's personality is:
- **Patient and Seductive:** Offers power gradually, making corruption seem reasonable
- **Ancient and Knowledgeable:** Contains memories spanning millennia
- **Utterly Ruthless:** Views all living beings as potential sources of power
If it goes three days without devouring an essence, Voidrazor initiates a **conflict of wills** with its wielder. It demands to be fed. Should the wielder resist, the backlash triggers automatically.
